If you haven’t caught on yet with my previous posts, Yes .. This is a post about my very own wedding! I hope this will be of use for those of you planning a rustic chic wedding! I am HUGE on greenery & nature, but I also wanted to add elegance to my wedding so I came up with this little mix that you see in the pictures above. My color scheme was Rose gold, Blush, White & Greenery. It took a few trial and errors to see exactly what I wanted on my tables and at first I was loosing touch of my original idea because I was surrounded by so many beautiful linens & centerpieces. So don’t panic if you find yourself changing everything, it happens! All it took for me was listening to what my fiancé had to say ( reminder: although you might be doing all the planning, remember that they are part of it to ! ), He quickly reminded me of my original drawing board and everything from there was smooth sailing!  If you don’t want to attack your tables with so many metallics and colors, try using a white linen! It will open up the area and will make those little details really POP. Use the golds, silvers, rose golds, etc. on your charger plates, votives and little details! Don’t know what to do with your napkins? Pick the most important color of your color scheme and apply it to the napkins. Slowly but surely it will all start tying in together! If you want more advice, that’s what we are here for!!!

A wise crustacean once said “Life is Better Down Where It’s Wetter”

We wonder if maybe they were referring to events in that could take place in the City of Atlantis as well. Maybe they had it right all along?

Either way we couldn’t help but pull some reference photos of what we can only imagine the wonderous lost city may look like and try to recreate a table set-up that would be perfect in its setting.

Using seas of Blues and variations of greens as well we decided to create two table schemes.

The first table we decided to a round common 72’ inch table dressed in an Aqua Fortuny Linen underneath, on the top we paired it with a Gold Netted Overlay (one of the more subtle marine time hints).

For the chargers we decided to use our Aqua Sea Chargers but the option of using Reef Chargers was considered. Both deliver such a perfect last detail to the table and could help keep the oceanic feel throughout. The arrangements were simple – White and Clean.

We decided to leave the colors to the rest. For chairs and accents we could have gone both with either Gold or Silver, but upon seeing the photo references we decided Gold was the better choice.

For the second table setting we decided to recreate what a Royal Table might have looked like.

We decided for this table setting to use our Marble Table setting. The marbled in combination with the colors of the Aqua and Gold compliments each other well.

In regard to Centerpieces we decided to create bridge-style florals with coral pieces and gold driftwood at the base of the florals to bring in those pops of color and under the sea feels.

All in all, we’d like to think that if Ariel were to see this she would be pleased.

What are your thoughts?

Grass Walls!  A beautiful trend that brings music to my ears!

They are the most versatile backdrops you could possibly find. Perfect for weddings, baby showers, birthdays, brunch , bridal showers, etc. Mold them to your theme by adding tropical leaves, giving it a jungle vibe or add florals that match your color scheme ! You can also mount decorated wood cutouts of what ever you may want, such as ” oh, Baby ! ” for baby showers, Custom monograms for weddings, a hashtag you might be using for the event & that way your guests can apply that hashtag on the photos making it easier for you to see the pictures on social media.. The possibilities are truly endless.

Here at fantasy we have used grass walls for back drops ( sweetheart tables, desert tables, Photo Booth), entrances, seating charts & stage decor. Attached above you’ll see pictures of examples I have mentioned. A wedding we did in Fisher Island ( picture attached), had huge grass wall hedges and our golden gates to block the view of the reception from the guests, it also allowed for a photo opportunity and brought curiosity to the guests attending. For my wedding I used it as a backdrop for my guests to take pictures and I had the word ” love ” in a beautiful font to decorate it.  In other events we have used it as a satin chart, the guests would walk  up and grab a favor with their name and table number! Have you been thinking about incorporating grass walls into your event? Let us know!
